The final Daybreak Racing event of 2022 is coming up in mid-November back at the coast with their Cape Mountain 50K and 25K runs. This is the third and final race in their Oregon Coast Trail Series and wraps up their racing year on beautiful singletrack through old growth rainforest and coastal meadows.

Daybreak Racing is well-known for having exceptionally run events on stunning courses…but they also make you work for it. The 50K on Saturday is about 90% singletrack and 10% doubletrack with 6,000 ft of climbing. There will be five aid stations (reminder that these are cupless, so bring your own bottle / flask / cup / bladder for liquids!). The 25K on Sunday has about 3,000 ft of gain with 2 aid stations. Leashed dogs are allowed on the 25K course (but sorry, not the 50K).

The beneficiary of this event is the Siuslaw High School cross country and track & field programs in Florence. Fun fact, that’s where the RD was born, raised, and learned to run.
Land Acknowledgement: Daybreak Racing honors and recognizes that we gather for this event on the traditional lands of the native Siuslaw peoples, who have occupied and stewarded these lands for millenia. We respect their right to self-determination and their sacred connection to these lands and waters.
