What Run Oregon is Trying: EKRIN B37 Percussion Massager

Looks like Christmas is coming twice this year because I got an amazing new massager!

When I was asked if I wanted to try out the EKRIN B37 Percussion Massager, I said yes before finishing reading the email. As a runner for the past decade, I know how important stretching and massage are for recovery. And I also know that they can be hard to fit into the schedule. Now here was the chance to get the attention my calves needed without all the time of foam rolling or the cost of a massage therapist.

My first use I focused on my legs, common issue areas after long runs. It was fascinating to feel relief right away from a vibrating head that moved faster than I could track. With four different heads and five speeds, it has been a treat rather than a chore getting through sore spots. And with marathon training heating up, such perfect timing to have a way to relieve plantar fasciitis. Speaking of heating up, the B37 at full speed was quieter than the fan running in the same room.

I felt the positive effects of each use for a few hours afterwards. And sometimes enjoyed tingling arms for a bit from holding the machine. Random joys of being a runner!

Here’s a few more details about my new favorite toy:

  • Up to 56 lbs. of force
  • Ultra-Quiet Technology
  • 5 Speeds, 4 Attachments
  • Ergonomic Design
  • 8 Hour Battery Life
  • Travel Case Included

I am just thrilled to have tried this massager and to better understand the percussive therapy technique. You can learn more on the science of this machine through EKRIN’s detailed research. The strokes of the machine worked out tension without causing pain and will be of great use throughout the fall running season.
