What Run Oregon is Wearing: Title Nine ClambR Women’s Hiking Short

As a girl who’s always had thick thighs and short legs, finding the right fit on a pair of shorts can be challenging. Length is a big factor, as well as whether they ride up or not. But we all deserve to have something cool when we get hot, and Title Nine, which is company that makes clothes built for women, gets it. The ClambR shorts come in a few different lengths, and I was sent the 5” shorts to review. At first, I wasn’t sure if this length would be too short on my thick thighs, but it turned out they were perfect.

These shorts are labeled as a “hiking and climbing” article of clothing, and I do think they would be fantastic for that exact purpose. They are durable, moisture proof, and have a great amount of flex for movement. But what’s even better about them is that they will be great for every day wear and could honestly be dressed up a bit too. I don’t see why the ClambR shorts can’t be a wardrobe staple in many capacities.

I got a pair in a size one larger than I wear in pants just to be safe in a color called “Beluga Grey.” I would suggest going one size larger if you’re on the fence. This color will go most everything I’m planning to wear this summer and I’m so thankful for that since they will get a lot of use. They are very comfortable, with a snap closure, a wide elastic waistband, and two zippered pockets in the back and two more pockets in the front. The material is rugged yet somehow still lightweight. They are a mid-rise style and they hit at a good spot on my waist, which is great since I am long waisted and find some shorts ride too low.

As for the length, it turns out a 5” inseam was plenty. I generally like shorts in around an 8” inseam, but since the ClambR shorts didn’t ride up or feel tight on my thighs, they were quite modest and I felt well covered. If you are looking for something longer, the ClambR shorts also come in a 13” length, a capri length, and a full length pant length. There is even a skort option! They are all available in a variety of sizes and colors as well.

These shorts move with your body for all your activities, whether it’s climbing a mountain, kayaking on a lake, or walking your dog.  I’m looking forward to all of my adventures this summer in these shorts.
