While The Hood to Coast Relay is a major bucket list for runners in the Pacific Northwest, HTC has a number of 1-day relays that really deserve more attention. Participants still get the adventure and the smelly van, but don’t have to sleep in a field or parking lot. As a runner who loves her pillows, these 1-day options are perfection.
This year’s Seabrook Relay has teams completed a loop course starting and ending in Seabrook on the coast of Washington State. Runners are on teams of 6 (for 75 miles), while walkers are teams of 4-6 (for 53 miles). And to keep the traffic down and safety up, only 200 teams are allowed.
Check out this fall adventure for you and a few wild and crazy friends (who love to sleep in their own beds at night). The full course map is available online.
