Thanksgiving: A day American’s get together to give thanks, to eat, to watch football and to RUN! Usually, Thanksgiving Day marks the most popular holiday for people to go out and run a road race, but obviously there are limited opportunities this year. If you don’t mind heading down to the Salem area, the Salem Turkey Trot is attempting a live event on holiday morning.
The event will take place at Creekside Golf Club and feature two loops along the golf cart paths. Runners must finish the entire course within 45 minutes as, in an effort to stay distanced and safe, 15 runners will be released in waves every 5 minutes (and stay spaced apart in the corral area). Runners will check in, head to the start, run the race, and leave immediately after you complete your race.
All runners will receive a t-shirt and a medal and profits will be donated to Wildfire Relief efforts for Oregon.
