Small Race Preview: 2019 Heroes vs. Villains 5K Fun Run (Salem) – DISCOUNT CODE & FREE ENTRIES!

“It’s time to decide, are you a hero or a villain?”

This run looks like so much fun! The Heroes vs. Villains 5K, hosted by We Run Oregon (no relation to this blog), will be held on Sunday, October 27th! Dress up as your favorite hero or villain and head over to the Creekside Golf Club in Salem for some friendly competition! This 5K race runs through the beautiful golf course and with the villains getting a 2 minute head start, it’ll be up to the heroes to chase them down! There is a costume contest, with awards for the top female and male heroes, top female and male villains, as well as group category awards.

There is also a 1/2 mile event for kids, so bring the whole family!

Finishers will receive a medal and a pair of superhero socks!

Bobi Jo has lived all over the midwest but moved to Portland in 2007 and now calls it home. She started casually running in 2012 and trained up for the "Run Like A Mother" 5k as her first proper event. She got a taste of the runner's high and is now a veteran ultrarunner. While running is her favorite sport, she is a "Jill of all trades, master of none" - her other hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, skiing, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and traveling the world.
