Race Preview: It’s a Grape Run! (Milton-Freewater)

Have plans August 17th? If not, you should take a road trip to Eastern Oregon and join other folks who live around Milton-Freewater and participate in the Rotary club’s annual It’s a Grape Run 5K. Supporting local children and the community, this family-friendly event promotes health while spreading Rotary’s message of goodwill, helping humanity through sustainable projects and helping the world become a better place.

Registration: Registration is $25. Early registration ends August 7th. Registration after August 7th is still $25 but does not include a T-shirt. Visit this web page to register.

Course: The course is run on gravel and paved roads through the Seven Hills Vineyard. With a maximum incline of 1,000 feet, this course provides flat stretches and a little challenge for the 5K race. Click here for a map of the course.

Milton-Freewater is located in Eastern Oregon, N.E. of I-84 and Pendleton, Or. It’s beautiful country out in Milton-Freewater and there are a plethora of orchards, wineries and breweries to peruse along with amazing views and trails to stroll or bike down. Abby was raised in Tigard, Oregon and moved to Denver, Colorado in 2007. While in Colorado she ran her first 5K, which led to a 10K, which led to a half-marathon.
