Race Preview: 2019 Summer Half Classic (Coburg)

Check out the Summer Half Classic, which has been in it’s current form for a few years – though you may have known it as Run in the Country.  For the past few years, it has been put on by the amazing Pink Buffalo Racing. The event is taking place Sunday, June 22, 2019 in historic Coburg – which is just minutes north of Eugene. If you ever participated in the Coburg Run in the Country events in the past the Summer Half Classic course will be identical. This is a wonderful, exceptionally flat course, that results in a lot of PR’s.

The start/finish line will be at Norma Pfieffer Park and numerous aid stations will be available on the course. Stick around after the race and explore the area – there are tons of things to do in, and near, Coburg.

Packet pick-up will be race morning at the start/finish line, located at Norma Pfieffer Park starting at 6am. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in each age group. There is no awards ceremony, meaning you don’t have to stick around and wait to pick up your awards should you win.

I hope you will consider checking out the Summer Half Classic!
