Small Race Preview: 2019 Taste of Parkrose 5K (Portland)

The 6th annual Taste of Parkrose 5K fun run is coming up on Saturday, June 22, 2019. Starting at Rossi Farms, this Portland-neighborhood race is part of a local event that includes a street fair with food (including grilling on a Big Green Egg), vendors, live music, a beer tent, and kids activities like carnival games, crafts, and prizes. There is also a 100-yard kids dash!

The 5K race will take runners on a loop beginning at Rossi Farms, through Luuwit View Park and Argay Neighborhood and then back to the festival. Runners and walkers are welcome, but sorry, no dogs allowed on the course. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Parkrose High School cross country team.

This event includes chip timing and rather than finisher’s medals, a packet of seeds will be given at the finish line.

To check out more about the event, head to the race website or their Facebook page.
