It’s no surprise that race fees can get a little pricey over the course of a year. That’s why runners need to know about all kinds of great events out there to offset the cost of the big boys that we all know and love. If you happen to live around the Salem area, or are interested in making a short little jaunt every month, I have listed out how to run in one race per month all within Marion County (and two races in Polk County). These races range from a 3k all the way up to a half marathon. There are even some marathons and ultras in the Capitol city that won’t break the bank, but I didn’t highlight those here. Check it out!
