On the outside, Grace Holt was happy, kind and involved in so many of her passions, like running, summer camp and her animals. On the inside however, she was sad. The depth of her depression wasn’t fully understood by her family, friends and counselors. Grace took her own life on January 3rd, 2015 at the young age of 15. Turning tragedy into hope, is what Run with Grace is all about. Just shy of three years later, Grace’s family has made sure that her legacy of kindness and compassion lives on through the Grace & Kindness Scholarship Fund. Funds from the event will go towards a scholarship fund the Holt family has set up, to provide under privileged children {5th-8th grade} with the opportunity to go to a summer camp. Nominations will be submitted by teachers based on need.
What: Third Annual Run with Grace 5K
When: Saturday, January 26th 2019 at 10:00 AM
Where: Griffin Creek Elementary School in Medford, Or
Day of Race Info: TBD, but race starts at 10:00 which allows for plenty of time to park, stretch and mingle with other participants.
Course Info: The course is an out and back that’s paved and mostly flat.
Registration: Register online or at the race. Cost is $15 for those participants over 18, and those under 18 years of age are $7.
