Small Race Preview: 2018 Steps To Safety 5k/10 (Salem)

If you’ve ever wanted to see what the police academy looks like, the 2018 Steps to Safety 5k/10k Run/Walk might be your best opportunity this year. The Department of Public Safety Standards & Training building in Salem is usually closed to the public, but participants for this event will get the unique opportunity to be allowed access to it. You have a choice to walk or run either the 5k or the 10k and the entire course will take place on the scenic campus.

The race is on October 6th this year, with the 10k beginning at 9:00AM and the 5k following shortly after at 9:15AM. The event is for a great cause as well, as proceeds from the race will help support the Mid-Valley Women’s Crisis Service. The center hosts a 24 hour hotline, emergency shelter, and counseling to victims of domestic violence stalking, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

The cost of the race is only $35 for either the 10k or 5k. Register below today!
