Snacks. How can something so simple be the bane of my existence? All day long, my kids are asking for them and I am sick to death of looking for new things to nourish them long enough to get them to stop saying “I’m hungry!” As for myself, I am always on the go and rarely have time to think about what I’m going to eat as I’m rushing off somewhere. Enter Bobo’s Baked Goods to the rescue.
One of the things I love the most about Bobo’s is that it’s an “every(wo)man” company that started very simply. A mother and daughter wanted to make delicious oat bars in 2003, and that’s where it all began. And to add to that simplicity, they used only 4 ingredients in their recipes.. organic oats, coconut oil, organic whole cane sugar, and brown rice syrup. These are the ingredients in the products to this day and the bars are delicious.
There are health benefits as well as tastiness built into these products. The oats fill you up so you stay full longer, and the whole grains and fiber help blood pressure. Additionally the probiotics in whole grains help the beneficial gut bacteria.
There are several different products you can try. The original oat bars and the stuff’d oat bars come in a few yummy flavors like lemon poppyseed and coconut. There are also stuff’d oat bites which are small and compact but still pack a punch of energy. There are even toaster pastries you can eat for breakfast or any time you feel like it, really.
Nikki’s Thoughts: I’ve tried a lot of muffins, granola bars, crackers and just about every other random baked good under the sun. Bobo’s are some of my favorites. Not only are they tasty and filling, they don’t taste heavily processed like so many other products on the market. When I open a Bobo’s oat bar, it tastes like something I’d eat from a friend’s kitchen. I brought some of the oat bites with me to the Hood To Coast relay this year and they were the perfect snack. They took up very little room in my bag and could be eaten in a couple of bites. And.. yum.
I’m not a huge fan of toaster pastries, but the Bobo’s ones don’t taste like they are loaded with sugar like some are. Also, my kids will eat all of the Bobo’s products, so now I have to hide them from them if I want any for myself. This is probably a good problem to have.
I would recommend Bobo’s to anyone looking for some high quality snacks that also don’t taste like cardboard.
Mindy’s Thoughts: I live a very active lifestyle and am always on the go. Bobo’s Baked Goods are a favorite of mine and my go to snack/ breakfast when on the run. They not only taste delicious, but they are filled with all sorts of healthy ingredients. Since they are made with oats, they are very filling and are the perfect choice for breakfast (before a run) or in between meals. This is one company who’s products I can stand behind, to offer to my kids or consume myself. They are gluten free, vegan and NON GMO Project verified. They have lots of yummy options from Suff’D Oat Bites, to Toast’R Pastries. A favorite in my household are the Stuff’d Oat Bites Apple Pie.
I highly suggest trying some of Bobo’s products. They will not disappoint!
