It would be hard to dispute that supporting our local public elementary schools is an important mission, especially since all those little ones will be leading the world when we’re too old to do it anymore. The 2018 Reed College 5k FUNd Run/Walk for Neighborhood Schools will support Duniway, Grout, Lewis, Llewellyn, and Woodstock Elementary schools. In fact, 100% of the registration fees and sponsorship dollars will go directly to Portland Public Schools, so doing this race will give back to the community in spades. The mission is to beat last year’s donations, which were more than $35,000.
This 5k is open to all ages and all abilities. It will be a great community event, so come out and cheer people on if you choose not to run. There will even be a free pancake breakfast brought to you by Bon Appetit after the race is over and you’ll get to tour the scenic Reed College Campus. There will be live music and kids activities in addition to the vendor booths and award ceremony.
The race begins and ends at the Reed College Quad at 9:00AM in front of the Gray Campus Center. All the activities related to the event will be here too. The cost is only $30 for participants over the age of 13 and seniors will get a $5 discount and youth will get a $10 discount. You will only be guaranteed a t-shirt if you register by September 4th, and the cost goes up to $35 starting on September 9th. You can pick up your race packet starting at 8:00AM on race day or you can get it the day before at Reed’s Greenwood Building between 8:00AM and 6:00PM.
This year, this race will be using Enphoto for the photography, so be sure to wear your racing bib on the front of you body so you can get your FREE photo in high-resolution and share it on social media or download it and print it yourself.

Packet Pick-Up: 9/21 from 8:00AM-6:00PM at Reed College Conference & Events, Greenwood Building. You can also pick up your packet on race day beginning at 8:00AM on the Reed College Quad.
