Are you ready to get dirty? Fordyce Farm in Salem is hosting the 6th Annual Mud Madness on August 25. This muddy obstacle course event is family friendly and includes a 5K and a 1.7 mile course. Both courses include obstacles and, of course, mud. Some of the obstacles you can expect to encounter are a tire climb, a 100 foot water slide, a wall climb, monkey bars, and lots of mud. If you want to get really muddy, run the Challenger Course, which is the main course, but later in the day so the 500 foot mud bog (with extra water added) is a “shoe sucking monster.”
After you and the whole family make it through the mud and obstacles, stick around for the after party. Don’t worry, water for rinsing off is available so that you can enjoy the party minus the mud. Then, take advantage of your free beer or soda (one free for each participant) and listen to live music. You can also enjoy Fordyce Farm with a hayride or just sit and enjoy the music.
