If you happen to find yourself out in Eastern Oregon in June and want to do a cute little race, the Heart of the Country Fun Run is a great one to check out!
After an unfortunate flood destroyed much of the city’s park a few years back, the small town community has worked hard to rebuild and improve the park. So far the proceeds from this race have paid for a new swingset, new play equipment, and shade sails. This year’s run proceeds will be used to pay for new commercial quality pool chairs for the community pool. There is a 1 mile, 5k and 10k option to choose from – run or walk any of them! There will be handmade trophies for age group winners and t-shirts for sale. Come give this small town race a try!
