It’s that time of year where the flowers are beginning to bloom and the annual Rhododendron Festival is headed to the cozy coastal town of Florence, OR. In conjunction with this festival is the 2018 Rhody Run, which features both a 10k Run and a 5k Run/Walk and is brought to you by Eclectic Edge Racing
The route for the race starts and finishes at the Florence Events Center. Participants will run/walk a paved course along Bay Street and the Siuslaw River, and out and back on the aptly named and picturesque Rhododendron Drive. You can view the pintable 10k map here and the 5k map here.
The cost for this race is only $20 for adults 18 & over, $15 for teens ages 13-17, and $10 for ages 12 & under until race day, when the cost will increase $5. T-shirts will be available for purchase in advance, and they will be $15 until race day, when the cost increases to $20. Register today, because May will be here before you know it.
