Race Preview: 2018 Brasada Ranch Black Diamond Trilogy 5k & 10 Miler (Powell Butte)

If you’ve never done an X-Dog event, The Brasada Ranch Black Diamond Trilogy would be a great place to start!  X-Dog races are generally very memorable because they are as challenging as they are fun. There are 3 adventures (over the span of 3 years!) awaiting you for this event, as the title suggests. Episode 1 will take place on April 7th, 2018. Episode 2 will be on April 6th of 2019 and Episode 3 is set to take place on April 4th of 2020. The details for each adventure will be posted after the previous episode concludes. Sound like a fun challenge?

On to the details for the race that starts off the whole series, episode 1! This challenge will offer you 2 running options: a 10 Mile Adventure Run or a 5k Trail Run/Walk. Both races will start and end at 10:00AM at the gorgeous Brasada Ranch in Central Oregon. The 10 Mile Adventure run will take you through the valleys and Canyons of the high desert where you are promised “100% wild, 75% trail, and 25% paved trail – A full 200%!!” If you aren’t quite ready for that, the 5k Trail Run will also delivery some scenic views and lots of fun for all.

Participants of the 10 Mile Adventure will get a commemorative shirt and medal for completing the race and can collect all 3 over the course of the series! There will be awards at 12:00PM for age groups and overall winners as well.

Since this event takes place at the Brasada Ranch, (named the best resort in the Pacific Northwest!) consider staying there and making a weekend of it. There will be special lodging packages announced soon, so book a room or cabin now here.
