Small Race Preview: 2018 Easter Egg Stash Dash (Eugene)

Easter time combines two things I love – rabbits and candy, particularly those sickly sweet Cadbury cream filled eggs. Mmm! Of course spending my time eating all those candies, means I need to do a lot of running to burn it all off – what better way than a Easter themed race! The Easter Egg Stash Dash, put on by Activate Events and Eclectic Edge Racing, is held at Pre’s Trail at Alton Baker Park in Eugene, Oregon and offers a half marathon, 5K,and 1K Kids east egg hunt!

All of the courses are looped, scenic and flat – you can feel the history of “Tracktown” beneath your feet while you run on the well kept trails. For the 1K Egg hunt, kids can use a bag or a basket and there are also “egg stations” so all kids are guaranteed eggs.  After the event, there will be post-race food for everyone, as well as and lots of fun vendors. You might even see a few eggs along the 5K Race if you’re lucky – you’ll have to figure out how to carry them though! How fun!
