There is a new 5K Series in Tigard courtesy of Uberthons

Oregon 5K Series presented by Uberthons

The New Year often brings new running goals, and what better way to ‘freshen up’ your running routine by registering for a running series! Running series are a great way to effortlessly add races (and miles) to your running calendar, while keeping your motivated to stick to your training schedule. Racing can get expensive, so running series help keep you on a budget as almost all of them charge a flat fee all at once up front – no guessing or having to keep close tabs on your racing budget.

If you are a fast runner, love the 5K distance, new to running or just want to change up your routine, a 5K race series may just be the ticket! Uberthons is introducing a new race series for 2018; the Oregon 5K race series.

The four 5K’s that make up this series are: the Chocolatathon in February, the Luckython in March, the Freedomthon in July and the Halloweenathon in October. Each race is a theme appropriate for the season, and is chip timed and all participants will receive a finisher medal. Uberthons is well-known for their fun courses that vary from fast n’ flat to challenging n’ hilly depending on the race. Uberthons’ races are also known for their delicious post-race food like the Chocolatathon’s chocolate fountains, the Luckython’s potato bar and Freedomthon’s pancake breakfast! Running and good food are some of our favorite (duh) things at Run Oregon and I’m pretty sure they are your’s too. Perhaps I’ll see you at one of the races?! More information on this race series can be found below, and by clicking on each race’s individual link. You can also read more on blogger and Uberthon Ambassador Tung Yin’s recap of the Halloweenathon last year.
