October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and a great way of supporting the victims and survivors of domestic violence is by participating the in the Womenspace Wonder Run 5k on October 14th in Eugene. All of the funds from this event will benefit the nonprofit organization Womenspace, which provides educational and outreach opportunities as well as creates awareness and support surrounding abusive relationships.
All abilities are welcome to participate in this 5k run/walk. Runners and supporters alike are encouraged to dress up as superheroes to celebrate the heroism of survivors of domestic abuse. Dogs will not be allowed on the course but are welcome to sit on the sidelines. For a printable version of the course map, click here.
