Race Preview: 2017 Pints to Pasta (Hood River)

The Pints to Pasta 10K/ Half Marathon has been a favorite for Oregonians for years. This year, race organizer, Hood to Coast Race Series, is thrilled to announce that the venue will take place in Hood River. Participants running in the half marathon will start at the Hood River County Fairgrounds. They will cross over Hood River at mile 4.6 and continue past the airfield towards Markham Rd and Barrett Dr,  this is where the 10K runner/ walker participants will meet. Then continue towards the Columbia River at Port Marina for the finish. Once at the finish line, participants will be immersed with Italian culture with live music, and offered yummy pasta and refreshing beverages ( and beer 21+). This is a very peaceful, scenic and fast course. With breathtaking views of the Columbia River, beautiful farmlands along the city’s namesake river and a swift downhill course, this race will be enjoyable by all.

There will be prizes given for the top 3 overall finishers of each race, top 3 finishers of each age category: Ages 0-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over, and for best Italian Costume.

Some highlights of Pints to Pasta include delicious post race pasta, Full Sail Beer (21+), Nike Dri-Fit T-Shirt, Finisher Medal, Live Music, Italian Costume Contest, Kids Race, Give-aways, and Awards to top finishers.

There will be two options for packet pickups. On Friday September 22, from 10:00 am- 7:00 pm at Foot Traffic located at 4020 NE Fremont St, Portland, OR 97212 or on Saturday September 23, in Hood River. (Location still being decided).

Parking will be available at each course start line, Hood River Country Fairgrounds (half marathon) and Hood River Valley High School (10K participants).

    • $55 10K, $70 Half Marathon,
  • September 11th- September 23rd:
    • $60 10K, $80 Half Marathon,
  • RACE DAY:
    • $70 10K, $90 Half Marathon

Registration Includes: chip timed race, event finisher shirt, finisher’s medal, post race food and drink, live music, raffle and awards for top finishers.
