Local company, Portland Reflector, is keeping Oregonians (and the country) safe with their line of reflective items. We recently were sent a few samples of their items, the Afterglow and Twilight , that may not be on your person while you run – but definitely fill needs that many of us have.
The Afterglow are colorful and magnetic triangles that affix wherever magnets may go. I personally find these as FANTASTIC options to add to your overnight relay vans. They are pretty dang strong and at no risk of falling off, as far as I can tell. These could also be used on a bike for commuting in the darker hours. Each pack comes with a silver reflector, as well as a color of your choice. Given this duo, I actually used both together in situations where metal was not available. For example, I used these on a handful of runs by putting one on the outside of my shirt and one on the inside, with them being held in place by their magnetic powers. It probably wasn’t ideal, but definitely worked in a pinch.
The Twilight looks and functions similar the Afterglow but is sans-magnet. It does, however, come with two slots for attaching to bag straps. As someone who has a long walk to work in the early mornings AND late evenings that cross a variety of streets. In the summer it’s usually light outside, but as the weather starts to turn and days get shorter (and wetter), it definitely becomes a little more dangerous. These will be a perfect attachment to my bag to keep myself way more visible, and I know many Portlanders who would benefit from having these on their bags as well.
Always remember to look local and towards Portland Reflector for your reflective needs.
