For all the beer lovers, this is the race for you: Laurelwood Brewing 5K Fun Run. This 5k, which is part of the 2017 Oregon Brewery Running Series, both starts and ends at Laurelwood Brewing NE. This race is perfect for those who enjoy a non competitive run, walk, or jog, hence, the “fun run” title. The course is relatively flat and runs through the Rose City Park and the Grant Park Neighborhoods. A major highlight of the race will be the tasty beer waiting at the finish line. Every participant will also receive a collectors pint glass, Laurelwood Craft Brew, seasonal swag items and other give-aways from the series partners.
Part of the proceeds from this event will going to support The Portland Parks Foundation and Oregon Brewshed Alliance. The Portland Parks Foundation delivers leadership, partnership and funding to our Portland parks. The Oregon Brewshed Allliance works to educate the beer drinking community about protected watersheds and their role in the craft brewing industry of Oregon.
Things to note on this course, it will be an OPEN Course ( all roads will remain open during the race). The runners are responsible for following all current traffic laws. Also, do not forget your ID or drivers license to provide proof of age of 21or older for their post race beer.
