Have you ever been told to take a long walk off a short pier? If you’re headed to the coast for the long 4th of July weekend and looking for a fun run to participate in, you’ll get the opportunity to do so. The 5th Annual Newport Celebration Run will take you out on the NOAA’s 1,300+ foot pier! You’ll have a few different running options for this race. There’s a 5k run and walk as well as a 10k, a half marathon, and a kids fun run too!
Participants will start the race at the epic Rogue Brewery. The half marathon course will offer you both road/pavement to run on as well as some trails. The rest of the races will be on all road or pavement.
After you finish the race, you’ll have a complimentary beer from Rogue Brewery waiting for you at the finish line. There will also be live music and some food to celebrate with.
All 5k, 10k, and half marathon participants are guaranteed a finisher medal this year, but only if you register before June 4th, as there will be a very limited supply of extras as registration comes in. So register today!

As a runner in Oregon, you probably know that we are pretty lucky to have a lot of options as far as races go this time of year, so if you decide to head to Neskowin for the 4th of July weekend instead of Newport, you’ll have a race option there as well! The 6th Annual Neskowin Runabout is a 5k race also held on the 4th of July.
This race starts and finishes at the beautiful Neskowin Golf Course. The course will offer mostly views of the streets of Neskowin and is relatively flat and fast. The cost of this race is just $15 and there will be music, awards, and snacks at the end of the race so you can celebrate your victory.
