Sometimes we get so caught up in our training, racing, and busy lives that we forget to take a break. A rest or active recovery day should be a regular part of a training plan. A day or even just a few hours to slow down and breathe when life is busy should also be incorporated into your schedule when life is getting hectic. We can’t train at our best, be the best parent we need to be, do our best at work, or be a great spouse or friend when we are worn down. So make it a priority to give yourself a break without feeling guilty about it!
