This annual Salem event features a 5k run/walk, as well as a 10k run held at The Department of Public Safety Standards and Training. Located directly behind the Marion County Jail, this race offers a truly unique course and supports a worthy cause to help provide resources for victims of domestic violence.
Your participation supports both the Center for Hope and Safety and the Marion County Domestic Violence Council, both of whom provide education and resources for at-risk populations of domestic violence. When you register, half of the proceeds benefit these organizations, and you get a great dri-fit shirt out of the deal, not to mention a pretty unique race experience.
Early bird registration ends 9/28/16, but you can register the day of the race for $50 instead of the online price of $35. So whether you’re a walker, a jogger, a runner, or somewhere in between, get out there and have some fun while supporting a good cause.
