Race Preview: 2016 Oregon Fall Half Marathon & 10K (Uberthons)

Fall is just around the corner (yea, enough with this summer heat!), which means it'll be time for another in Uberthons' Half Marathon series. The Oregon Fall Half Marathon will take place on September 10, 2016, starting at St. Josef's Winery in Canby. For those keeping track, this was the location of last year's Oregon Spring Half Marathon. In addition to the half marathon, there will also be a 10K option. The course map can be found here. The 10K (in black dashes) is an out-and-back. The half marathon (in red dashes) is an out-and-back with a square loop in the middle. Uberthons describes the course as up and down at the start/finish and otherwise flat. I haven't run the half marathon or 10K route, but last year's Scrub Run 5K was held here and I believe the first half of the 5K route corresponds to the first 1.55 miles of the half marathon/10K, so my race recap may offer some useful information. As usual for Uberthons races in 2016, there is a finisher's medal in the form of a belt buckle, age group placement pins, race shirt (half marathoners only), and post-race food - this time, courtesy of Qdoba.
