The Groovy Run is hitting the waterfront in Portland on August 20th. Break out your grooviest attire and enjoy an evening 5K or 10K. Afterwards there will be music and dancing, Hoplandia beer, chili from Portland Kettle, face painting for the kids, and other vendors.
In addition to the party, your registration for The Groovy Run includes a tech tee, a groovy race bib, and chair massages at the finish line. There will be a costume contest and awards for top finishers.
This event supports bringing Wheelchair Dancers Organization to Portland. The Mission of the Wheelchair Dancers Organization is to create an avenue by which the disabled community can enhance and strengthen their mind, body, and spirit through the art of dance.
Both the 5K and 10K routes run along the river and include 2 bridge crossings – the Hawthorne Bridge and the Steel Bridge. There will also be a Groovy Kids Dash, so bring the whole family and enjoy a summer evening along Portland’s waterfront.
