Mad Hatter 5k
The 4th annual Mad Hatter 5k Run takes place at Salem’s Wallace Marine Park on July 11th, 2015. Proceeds go to the Salem Dream Center, which will provide college scholarships to two current high school students.
The run is appropriate for athletes of all ages and abilities. Crazy hats are not required, but definitely encouraged, and there will be a “best hat” award given out. Award medals are also given to the top three finishers (male and female) in five age groups.
The race will start in Wallace Marine Park at the old boat launch, run through the park, run across the beautiful and historic Union Street Railroad Bridge, run through Riverfront Park, go back across the Union Street pedestrian bridge, through Wallace Marine Park and will finish back at Wallace Marine Park, where contestants can enjoy brunch served by Salem City Vibe while awards are presented.
