
This weekend’s free marathon and half marathon training run will start and end at Pizza Roma, 4715 SE Woodstock Blvd. The run starts at 8a on Saturday, March 28.
Just two weeks from the group’s main goal run, this week’s run is made up of two separate routes: First up is the 8.6 mile run to Mt. Tabor, and then the 8.5 mile loop for just about 17 miles total.
Coach Jim recently announced that these group runs will continue past the April 12 ORRC Vernonia Marathon to support runners planning for the Newport Marathon on May 30. The newly added group run events are as follows:
4/4/15 – 16 miles – Road Runner Sports
4/11/15 – 20 miles – Grand Central Bakery
(4/12/15 – 26.2 miles or 13.1 miles – ORRC Vernonia Marathon and Half Marathon)
4/18/15 – 16 miles – lululemon Bridgeport Village
4/25/15 – 20 miles – Pizza Roma
5/2/15 – 16 miles – Road Runner Sports
5/9/15 – 20 miles – Grand Central Bakery
5/16/15 – 16 miles – lululemon Brigeport Village
5/23/15 – 8 miles – Pizza Roma
5/30/15 – 26.2 miles – Newport Marathon

Where: Pizza Roma at 4715 SE Woodstock Blvd.
What time: The run starts at 8a, be there by 7:45a at the latest
Distance: 17 miles
