GIVEAWAY! The Prize? Getting your Middle Schooler out of the house!

The folks over at Youth Runner Magazine are offering up an opportunity for 5 middle schoolers of Run Oregon readers to attend their day camp (9a-1p) Monday August 4th -Thursday August 7…for FREE! This offer is for any youth going into the 6th-8th grade and will take place at Catlin Gable Middle School in Portland.

Their website outlines the day as follows:

Jam packed sessions include running the trails, meeting new friends, learning how to prepare for competition day, food to eat that makes sense, proper stretching, and some fun.

If you’re a serious runner or just want to learn some basics to get better, this camp is for you. You’ll come away with some goals and a plan for the season. We’ll show you how to keep a running journal that’s simple and will help you meet those new goals.

Olympian Ian Dobson will be stopping by, Jordan Schillit from the Oregon Track Club, Mike FlemingStoller Middle School Coach, Steve Prefontaine’s sister will visit and talk about growing with with Pre.

Given the proximity of the camp dates, the 5 winners will be selected by completing the form here (or below). The first 5 responses will get the slots! The campe retails for $95, so send us your child’s info ASAP to join in!

DATE OF CAMP: Monday August 4th -Thursday August 7th

START TIME: Arrive and be ready to go at 9:30 am each day
