Get ready for the second annual Freedomthon 5k and kids’ races–it’s going to be an awesome event for the whole family! It will be a flat, fast road race with an out and back course. Each participant will be given a small flag that they can carry during the event. There will be big mile markers at each mile, and two water stations on the course, as well as one at the finish line. Every finisher will receive a hefty three inch wide medal with a custom ribbon–trust me, they’re NICE! And race results are available immediately following the race on the kiosks, or you can download the It’s Your Race app to get them right away on your mobile device. After the race, you can enjoy the breakfast bar with pancakes. I’m really excited for this event–although I haven’t run it before, I’ve run several Uberthons races and have really enjoyed them. My friend Cari has brought her niece to races and we’ve all had a blast!
Additionally, Uberthons gives all first time Uberthoners a “First time 5k” necklace, and as an incentive to do multiple Uberthons events, you can earn an Uberthons jacket by placing in your age division in 3 events, or just by racing in any four paid events in 2014.

What time: 8:30am 5k run; 8:35am 5k walk; 9:45am 1mi kids race; 10:00am 1/4mi kids race
