The “it” in “Just Beat it in the Burg” is Cancer. If you know me, you know I hate Cancer and I long for the day that there’s a cure. But until there is, there will be amazing people like the ones behind this race, raising money for a young mother diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical and ovarian cancer.
Elissa Bogardus of Roseburg has a huge network of people joining her in her fight, and they have planned a big weekend to celebrate her birthday which is on June 1. In addition to Sunday’s 5k fund raiser fun run, there’s a concert by country singer Jessie Goergen at the Elks Club the night before.

Register: Online for $35 or at the event starting at 9a – they are also selling awesome t-shirts and bracelets to support Elissa
