Soon! Soon my Group and I will be competing against Epic costumes at the annual Legacy Health Starlight 5K Run. Although it is a heavily costumed race with about 7,500-8,000 runners we surely will only be competing against 20-30 other groups and we have a chance with how awesome these costumes are! We are going as Characters from the Disney Pixar Movie ‘Up!’
We have Carl, Russell, Kevin, Doug, and the House. We are unsure how fast we will be running, but we believe we can beat the 14-minute mile pace bus for sure – despite our fantastic, hot, and cumbersome costumes. I cannot wait to see what other runners are going as. This year- to save time, they are prejudging at 6:30pm. Be sure to get screen/prejudged first to be eligible for the final costumes.

Race: Legacy Health Starlight 5K Run (No walking allowed on this course)
When: Saturday, May 31, 2014, Costume Contest starts at 6:30pm and the Race starts at 7:45pm
Starlight Run Yip Yips!
Where: Lincoln High School Field (SW 16th between Salmon & Jefferson)
Registration: Registration includes your bib (NO CHIP – this is a fun run), tons of spectators, and a coupon on your bib for a free meal at the Old Spaghetti Factory and live music, food and beverages and a parade after it all. You can also purchase a retro tie-dyed souvenir T-shirt -for an additional $15 while supplies last.
Costumes: This year’s theme is “Making Memories.” This is the Oregon’s largest costume contest. Categories for youth, adults and groups. Prizes awarded by celebrity judges and audience applause!
