Small Race Preview: Dr. Seuss Family Friendly 5k in Redmond

“You’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So… get on your way!”
― Dr. SeussOh, the Places You’ll Go!

Dr.-Seuss-5k-bannerI went to Central Oregon a few weeks ago and I am already itching to go back again. There is just something about the High Desert that beckons me. Something else that may be calling me back is a small race held in Redmond this Saturday, March 8 – the Dr. Seuss Family Friendly 5k.

The race is put on by, and benefits Sage Elementary PTC. All proceeds go to providing funds for field trips and purchasing much needed school supplies. It will also support the school’s Library, PE, and Computer Lab departments.

Stick around afterwards for the Wellness and Health Fair before taking in all that Central Oregon has to offer. Make a weekend of it and take the family!

Dr. Seuss Family Friendly 5k (Redmond)
When: 10a
Where: Sage Elementary School (2790 SW Wickiup Avenue)
Register: Online here or mail-in; $25 individual, $45 couple, $50 family (2 adults/2 kids)
