Run like a Mother (RLAM) National Organization has eight races across the US and we are one of them! Since they started in 2008, they have celebrated over 20,000 women who have made running a part of their life. This Mother’s Day, I can’t think of a better thing to do than add my name as one of those women celebrating their 5K in our very own Portland area!
This race has one of the best tagline mottos too “ Run Like a Mother Isn’t Just a Race, It’s Our Way of Life”. This race series applauds women on Mother’s Day and offers support, motivation, inspiration, advice, training tips, education, nutrition, recipes, and industry news throughtout the year with a variety of touch points online and within each market, and they offer a six-week training program for a small fee (limited space, so don’t wait to sign up) or a free one online.
Whether you are a mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, grandmother, friend, neighbor or co-worker, this race empowers you to celebrate Mother’s Day in a fun and motivational way for the entire family. Each event kicks off with a timed 1-mile Kid’s race and continues with a women-only 5K on courses that wind through picturesque neighborhoods, scenic parks and city streets of Hillsboro, OR.
