Suits, Gowns, and a Good Cause: The Fanciest 5k Ever

Have you ever run a race in a prom dress or a suit? If you’re looking to get fancy this race season, consider signing up for the Fanciest 5K Ever! Taking place November 7 in West Salem, this race is for a great cause. Help fight human trafficking while running in your finest formal wear!

Proceeds from the race go to Safety Compass, a local organization that provides free advocacy for survivors of sex trafficking in the mid-Willamette Valley. The race starts and finishes at West Coast Strength, a gym in Salem, with runners getting the chance to run through Wallace Marine Park and Riverfront Park.

Check out the route map here, and note that it’s changed a bit from previous years. There’s also a virtual option if you can’t make it in person!

Stick around for the awards after the race, with prizes for top finishers and, of course, the fanciest outfits!
