Scandia Run: Nordic Vibes, Oregon Miles

The long-standing 2026 Scandia Run will be roaming through the outskirts of Junction City is coming on August 15th, 2026. This flat and fast race features a 5k, a 10k, or a 4 Mile Walk and all participants will enjoy the views of the beautiful Willamette Valley countryside. There’s even a 400m “Run with the Vikings” race for the kiddos.

The 10k is USATF certified and is an out and back course with a loop in the middle. The 4-Mile Walk follows the same 1st loop of the 10k. The 5k is also USATF certified. Check out the courses here. After everyone is done with their race, all can stay and enjoy the world-famous Scandinavian Festival.

This race is also very affordable, at a cost of $25 for adults and $15 for youth 12 and under (until 8/10, when the price increases $5.) A tee shirt can be purchased for an additional $20, and kids doing the 400m will receive a youth sized shirt at no extra cost. Proceeds for the race will help the Junction City High School Track and cross-country programs.

This race is one of the longest running road races in the Pacific Northwest. Be a part of that tradition and register today.
