Clean Like a Man with ONSIDE

I’m a man, therefore I stink. As a result, I am constantly on the prowl for the latest and greatest hygiene products out there that provide me the ability to not seem as gross as my body seems to like to give off. We recently came across ONSIDE, a brand-spanking new company that makes men’s items for men on the move. We received some samples from across their line to try out.

I’ve always thought most grooming products are designed for people standing still, not people actually moving through a day. Sweat, friction, sun, stress—your skin takes the hit, especially when you’re active, and a lot of “everyday” products don’t really account for that.

ONSIDE feels built for a different kind of routine. One for men who move. It leans into that idea of performance-driven grooming with a simple lineup made to keep up—vegan and cruelty free, and made without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates—without overcomplicating what should be pretty straightforward.

Body Wash

I go back and forth between bar soaps and body washes in the shower. There are benefits to both, and honestly it just depends on what I’m feeling at the time. It’s been a while since I’ve been in body wash territory, so I was happy to take this for a spin.

I found it refreshing and clean. ONSIDE claims antioxidant defense and hydrating benefits for the skin, and while I’m not digging into the science, it does seem to hold true in practice.

The bottle is smaller than I expected, but the easy twist top helps control how much comes out. No accidental over-pours, which is always a win. A little goes a long way here.

Deodorant

I switched over to aluminum-free, more natural deodorants a few years ago and haven’t looked back. I rotate a few regularly, but this one from ONSIDE is a solid addition.

Over time, my body has definitely adapted to natural deodorants, and I don’t feel like I need constant reapplication to stay fresh. ONSIDE says that it’s a 48-hour formula, though I still think daily use is the sweet spot. That being said, after a body adjusts to aluminum-free options, I do think that we can go longer in between applying, so 48 hours seems right in line.

This version does a good job neutralizing odor naturally and absorbing moisture, which makes it a strong option for active people who tend to sweat more than average. It won’t completely eliminate pit stains, but it does a solid job managing odor and keeping things controlled.

Body Spray

When I think “body spray,” I still think back to teenage years and absolutely overdoing it trying to smell “good.” Sorry Mom (and all the girls in middle school I was trying to impress). Let’s just say subtlety wasn’t part of the strategy.

This version from ONSIDE feels more grown up. It’s not something you douse yourself in to mask odor. Instead, it feels more like odor control with a light hydrating, conditioning element.

Spray it on areas where you sweat (not on clothes), and it gives a fresh, clean boost that keeps things feeling dialed in.

Scent-wise, I found all of them to be masculine without being heavy-handed. The Santal Leather is earthy and refined. The Eucalyptus and Mint version is especially clean and calming.

These can be purchased at Target.
