Haul Yeah: The Janji Ultrahauler Supertote is Here

I am sure we all know Janji (and if you somehow don’t, it’s time to fix that). The running apparel company has built a strong reputation through a mix of classic and bold colorways, unique styling, and a commitment to purpose-driven products that actually perform.

Now, Janji is branching out beyond apparel as the new Ultrahauler Supertote — alongside their new backpack — expands the brand into the carry and lifestyle category. The idea is simple: support the movement that happens around running too, whether that’s race weekends, airport travel, commuting, or quick weekend escapes.

Nothing beats a solid bag. Honestly, nothing beats solid bags, because there are a ton of different needs depending on the day.

Sometimes you just need a small option with a change of clothes. Other times you’re hauling enough gear for a full-on running trip across state lines. Then there’s that middle ground — the bag that carries all the extra layers, shoes, snacks, recovery gear, and random race weekend essentials without feeling like complete overkill.

That’s where the Janji Ultrahauler Supertote lands.

The Ultrahauler Supertote is a versatile 40L travel bag that bridges the gap between sleek weekender and durable gear hauler. It features a highly organized layout that my brain personally appreciated right away. There are multiple storage zones, flexible carry options, and technical materials that are easy to clean after long travel days, rainy runs, or muddy adventures.

Some of the standout touches here are genuinely useful instead of gimmicky. Dedicated storage for wet or dirty gear is a lifesaver because nobody wants sweaty shorts soaking into otherwise clean clothes. The expandable organization system helps keep things from turning into one giant gear black hole, and the multiple oversized bottle pockets are actually large enough to matter.

One surprisingly awesome feature is the removable waterproof change mat — something I didn’t realize I needed until using it. It makes changing shoes or gear after runs way easier, especially in muddy parking lots or damp Oregon conditions.

The water-resistant zippered closure is another nice touch and makes the bag feel far more prepared for Pacific Northwest weather than many everyday tote options.

Despite the “tote” name, the carry options are flexible. You can lug it traditionally by hand (with the short “suitcase” handles), the medium-size straps, the detachable crossbody strap, or slide onto rolling luggage with the pass-through sleeve, which feels especially clutch during airport travel or longer race trips.

The Janji Ultrahauler Supertote ultimately feels like a thoughtfully designed middle-ground bag — big enough to handle serious gear hauling while still streamlined enough for everyday use. For runners constantly bouncing between workouts, work, travel, and weekend adventures, it fits that niche really well.
