Can you run to the top of Hoodoo? If you don’t know (and even if you do), it’s time to register for the 2026 Hoodoo Challenge! There are only 200 slots for the half marathon and another 200 spots for the 5k, and it will fill up quickly before race day, which is on Saturday, July 25th this year.
The first 50 registrations will get a Hoodoo Challenge neck gaiter and there will be NO sign up available on race day, so do it now.

The half marathon is back for it’s 10th year and will follow gorgeous forested trails and boasts views from the top of Potato Hill. Runners will start from Hoodoo Lodge’s parking lot.
Once runners reach the top of the mountain, they can walk down again for a well-earned lunch (and yes, vegetarian options will be available as well.) Runners can expect 2,888 Ft elevation gain for this race. The Strava route for the half marathon course is available here.

The 5k will begin at the Hoodoo parking lot and end at the top. This will also be a scenic and challenging race, with 1,175 Ft of elevation gain. You can view the Strava route for the 5k here.

Parking is allowed overnight if you decide you’d like to come out the night before the race and stay in the parking lot. There will even be a porta potty available for you. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to come too!
