Shell Yeah! Hitting the Trails at the Shotgun Trail Blast

The Shotgun Trail Blast is coming! This event is hosted by Level 32 Racing and will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025. It’s the second event in the Big Trail Series, along with the Bristow Trai Run, the Ridgeline Ramble, the Hardesty Hardcore, the Autumn Trails Eugene, and the Frozen Trail Runfest.)

Per usual, the event will feature a 50K, 25K, 10K and 5K in Marcola – a few miles on the outskirts of Eugene.

The base for each event is a 5.2 mile loop (5K-ers will do an out and back; we promise it’s not a “long” 5K!). The 10K will do a short out and back, then complete the loop, the 25K will loop 3x, and the 50k will loop 6x.

As a classically scenic trail run, racers will be treated to a little climbing (~566 ft per loop), a little water, and plenty of mud. The event(s) start and end at the Shotgun Creek Recreation Center.

If you’re a fan of nature, you’ll get it all here. You’ll also get epic views, small rock bridges, manageable elevation gain, and a nice fast finish! This is the “best kept single track trail running secret in Lane County!”

Custom wood medallions will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each event. Additionally, the top three in each age group will get medals and all participants are eligible for random prize drawings throughout the day.
