One of my favorite things about spring races is that many of them are related to beautiful blooms. But check this out: the CPRD Camellia Run gives participants a potted one-gallon Camellia: a participant prize you will actually keep and enjoy for years to come!
See our recaps here and here!

The CPRD Camellia Run, hosted by the Chehalem Park and Recreation District, offers a 5k and 10k, both starting from downtown Newberg.
Because this event is held in conjunction with the annual camellia festival, you’ll be treated to some gorgeous blooms that remind us that spring is fully in swing! You’ll also have a well-organized event, lots of volunteers, (intersections will be manned by police) and access to real bathrooms! Since this race starts and finishes at the Chehalem Cultural Center, you’ll have access to a an indoor space before and after the race to take care of your bathroom needs or just to stay warm (and dry if it rains.)

When you finish the race, hang out for awhile and check out the Camellia Festival festivities. There will also be prizes for top finishers as well as the opportunities for some awesome door prizes.
You can find out more about the event on Facebook, but don’t wait too long. Register by March 19th and get the event shirt free!
