For most running events there is a way way way too early alarm clock blaring at me in the morning (if such horrible hours like 5am can be called morning). So I am super interested in a race that doesn’t start until noon. Hello New Best Friend!!!
The Jingle Bells Run is a very family-friendly run/walk thanks to a reasonable start time and a lovely park setting. The FREE Kids Rudolph Run starts at 11:45am, with the 15K and 5K events starting soon after. The courses use bike paths near the Willamette River. Costumes are strongly encouraged plus there are giant candy canes to collect for a bonus prize.
The entry fee includes post-race refreshments, age-group awards, and other prizes you will have to attend to learn about. And a jolly St. Nick will be available for photos with those Rudolph finishers.
