Don’t we all need a little more fancy in our lives? Especially when that fancy helps support survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. Enter The Fanciest 5K. Ever. happening on Saturday, November 9th in Salem. This community-focused, recreational 5K invites participants to walk, run, or strut their way through Riverfront Park all while decked out in formal wear.

Whether you dig out your old prom dress or rock a tuxedo and top hat, this event encourages all things glitter, sequins, and glam – all in the name of a great cause. And for those who can’t attend in person, there’s a virtual option so you can get fancy wherever you are.
Beyond the fun, this race serves a meaningful purpose. All proceeds from The Fanciest 5K. Ever. benefit Safety Compass, a local organization dedicated to providing confidential advocacy and support for survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking in the mid-Willamette Valley. Safety Compass also offers specialized training for professionals and community members, ensuring a compassionate response for survivors.

Runners also have the opportunity to set individual or team fundraising goals, with prizes awarded to top fundraisers, finishers, and the fanciest outfits.
Participants will enjoy pre- and post-race festivities at West Coast Strength, with snacks, a photo booth, and an awards ceremony. For virtual racers, there’s a two-week window to submit your results and show off your fanciest attire. So dust off that old tuxedo, grab your glitter, and get ready for a race where fun, fashion, and philanthropy meet.
