Making Waves at the Tualatin’s Regatta Run

Fall is the best season for food, for family, for weather, and for racing! This year, consider coming to Tualatin Community Park on Sunday October 20th for the 2024 Regatta Run!

This 5k Run/Walk is held in conjunction with the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta and it’s a great fundraiser that will help support the Tualatin Rotary scholarships and community programs for Tualatin High School. This event was founded in memory of Marine Corporal Matthew Lembke, a Tualatin High School grad who perished while serving in Afghanistan.

The course for this race is flat and fast, and it’s also very walker friendly for those who just want to get outside and enjoy a fun harvest event. All walkers, strollers, and four-legged friends are welcome to attend this event as well. The route follows scenic park trails, a footbridge into Durham Park, and into Cook Park before heading back to the start at Tualatin Community Park.

For extra fun, consider wearing a costume and stay for a trick-or-treating experience for the kiddos. There’s also a quarter mile kid’s dash (for youth ages 4-12) that kicks off at 8:45AM right before the 5k event begins. This is truly a family-friendly event for all!
