Asics have always been a tried and true shoe amongst runners. The GT-2000 13 is a versatile option that can be worn for your everyday runs. These are a great option if you’re looking for a stability shoe.
Looks

I received the GT-2000 13 shoes in the Blue Expanse/Champagne colorway, and they are the loveliest shade of navy. Color is never the most important thing in a running shoe, but these are pretty spiffy. The reflective details are subtle but great for those low-light early morning runs where you need every bit of visibility possible.

The upper is made with at least 50% of recycled content, and I love that Asics is trying to do their best to reduce waste and carbon emissions.
Function

If you’re an overpronator (landing on the outside of your heel and rolling inward as you hit your stride,) these stability shoes are great for that with their 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM™ which is an Asics staple that keep your feet moving in the forward direction.
These are often compared to the GEL-KAYANO shoe which are similar in function, and a a great addition to a runner’s closet when a shoe that’s light but also responsive where it’s called for.
Construction

The FF BLAST™ PLUS midsole provides full-length cushioning and that paired with PureGEL™ technology provide a nice return from toe-off to a nice soft landing.
There’s a jacquard mesh upper which hugs the foot securely as well as the AHARPLUS™ heel plug rubber and AHAR® LOW HARDNESS outsole material which offer runners more durability. Those of us who need something to help with the wear and tear of the daily runner grind will surely appreciate the materials that this shoe offers.
There’s a new heel pull-tab on this latest and greatest version, and I always appreciate a shoe that’s easy to pull on for those 5AM runs.
Fit
The OrthoLite X-30 sockliner is snug, but comfortable. There’s a new breathable mesh upper and increased cushioning in the forefoot which gives you a nice ride. I will say that overall, these felt a bit stiffer than some of the other shoes I’m rotating between, but they are comfortable enough for me to run 6 miles in and then slide back on for my day job which has me on my feet for a minimum of 5 hours at a time most days. I love that they feel light and cool yet supportive.

Overall/For Consideration
Asics always delivers! The GT-2000 13 is a no brainer, just like all Asics. If you’re going to be on your feet for a while, these are the shoes that will make it manageable!
