Outdoor Vitals created this new jogger with versatility in mind. According to their release notes, the jogger is designed to be a year-round layering option. I believe they may be on the right track. The material is super lightweight and fits snugly to the legs, making it an excellent layering piece for colder winter months under cold-weather-specific pants. While it may not be ideal for the peak of summer, let’s face it, what pant is?
For those times, like right now, when the days are mildly warm and the nights are definitely cooler, this jogger serves as a great standalone option. It’s comfortable, provides a bit of warmth, and offers protection. Its lightweight and breathable fabric makes it perfect for spring and fall. Additionally, it’s a solid choice for summer hikes when you need pants at night. It offers added protection and breathability around the campsite. After all, nothing ruins a camping trip faster than getting your legs annihilated by bugs.
The jogger also boasts ample stretch and quick-drying properties, reinforcing its versatility. The precise athletic cut and articulated knees provide a massive range of motion. The ultralight 2-way stretch polyester fabric, combined with breathable mesh panels down each side, across the back, and in the crotch, ensures these joggers breathe as well as a pair of shorts.
We have been very impressed with this and anticipate its usage a LOT this year!
