Run Oregon Test Kitchen: Slurp, Savor, and Sustain with immi Ramen

I love ramen. During a recent trip to Arizona, we stumbled into a ramen location on our first day and ended up coming back every day for lunch or dinner. However, it’s not necessarily the healthiest of meals in the world with typically a ton of salt and a lot of carbs (not always bad) and minimal protein. Yet I eat it anyways.

That’s what makes immi Ramen so intriguing. They have concocted a ramen version this is both tasty but with an eye towards health (as healthy as ramen can be).

Immi Ramen was born from a craving for a healthier, more satisfying instant noodle option. The founders, Kevin Lee and Kevin Chanthasiriphan, were inspired by their college days, where they often relied on instant ramen but were disappointed by the lack of nutritious choices. Determined to create a better alternative, they embarked on a journey to craft a ramen that not only tasted delicious but also used natural, high-quality ingredients.

After years of research and development, immi Ramen was launched, bringing a fresh take on instant noodles to the market, with a focus on flavor, nutrition, and sustainability.

immi Ramen aims to be the cool kid on the block in the instant noodle world. They’re all about giving you a healthier, tastier ramen experience..

First off, each packet has somewhere around 5-6 net carbs and blow other ramen options out of the water with over 20 grams of protein per serving. All options are plant-based with packed with real veggies and spices for that authentic flavor punch. Whether you’re craving some Black Garlic Chicken or a kick of Spicy Beef (neither of which have actual meat in them) immi’s got you covered.

I’m not gonna go out there and say that ramen is now a health food (immi still has 37% of your DV for saturated fat and plenty of sodium), but as far as ramen goes it may top the list. I mean, some ramen packets rack up 90% DV of sodium while immi clocks in around 38% – that’s a big deal!

And for runners who love this food, but get minimal nutritional value from it’s cheap super-market shelf brethren, immi Ramen can for sure fill that void.

immi comes in a range of delicious flavors that are perfect for people who are runners. The flavors include options like:

  • Black Garlic “Chicken”
  • Roasted “Pork” Tonkotsu
  • Spicy “Beef”
  • Creamy “Chicken”
  • Tom Yum “Shrimp”
  • Spicy Red Miso
